He Said She Said Bridal Shower Game: 50 Questions and How to Play
He Said She Said is the bridal shower game guests talk about afterward. It's simple: read an answer, guess which partner said it. But the answers tell the couple's story in a way no toast can.
Below are 50 questions in four groups, how to collect answers without spoiling the surprise, scoring, and a "Who Said It?" version that works for every couple.
How to play
- Collect answers a week ahead. Send both partners the same questions separately โ a shared doc, a voice memo or a short call. Ask them not to compare notes.
- Pick 15โ20 questions where the answers are clearly different or surprisingly the same.
- At the shower, read each answer aloud. Guests write "he," "she" or "both," or tap it on their phone.
- Reveal after each question and let the bride tell the story behind the answer. That's the best part.
- Most correct guesses wins.

Scoring and variations
Classic scoring
Works for: any size
One point per correct guess. Accept "both" when both partners gave the same answer. Break a tie with one bonus question only the bride can answer.
Who Said It? (for every couple)
Works for: same-sex couples ยท or simply a more modern feel
Use the partners' first names instead of "he" and "she." Everything else stays the same.
Video edition
Works for: a partner who can't attend
Record the partner answering on video. Pause before each answer, let guests guess, then play the clip. Their reactions make it.
Paddle edition
Works for: a lively room
Give each guest a two-sided paddle โ one partner's photo on each side. On "three," everyone holds up their guess at once.
Questions about He Said She Said
How do you play He Said She Said at a bridal shower?
Before the shower, ask both partners the same questions privately and note who gave each answer. At the shower, read each answer aloud and have guests guess which partner said it. One point per correct guess; the highest score wins.
How many He Said She Said questions should I use?
Fifteen to twenty questions takes about fifteen minutes. Pick a mix of sweet, funny and revealing ones, and save a few spicy questions for a bachelorette party instead.
Does He Said She Said work for same-sex couples?
Yes โ call it 'Who Said It?' and use the partners' names instead of he and she. The questions and scoring don't change.
What if the couple gave the same answer?
That's a great moment. Accept 'both' as a third choice for that question, and give the point to anyone who picked it.
Play He Said She Said on phones
Add each question as a two-choice round โ the bride or her partner โ and guests vote from their phones. BumpBash reveals the answer, scores every guest and shows the leaderboard on the TV.
Free for one game and up to 10 guests. Bigger parties are a one-time $19.99 or $39.99 โ never a subscription.
